Design the controller handover with the landscape.
NBU provides irrigation education, including controller programming resources. For a New Braunfels installation, build the owner’s handover into the scope: a zone plan, an explanation of the controls and a clear distinction between initial establishment and ongoing operation. Check the current provider guidance rather than embedding a fixed year-round watering schedule.
Work from the final bed and lawn layout. Identify crossings beneath future paving, accessible valves and any infrastructure being retained. For a managed commercial site, name the person who will operate the controller and retain the documentation so a staffing change does not leave the new system without an informed operator.
